SB13-282 Tiered Rate Medical Exemption sponsored by Senator Guzman and Rep. Pabon was signed into law on May 28th. This bill helps alleviate the burden of tiered rates for individuals with a heat-sensitive medical condition. By the summer of 2014 there will be a means tested medical exemption from tiered summer energy rates for people with a medical need for air conditioning.
